What Is a Good Credit Score?
A good credit score is a score over 700. To improve your score make sure you are not near the credit limits on your credit cards. If you have any collections contact the creditors, settle and follow up to see that they are removed from your report. Don't open new credit if you don't need to open an account. Try not to ever have any bill go 30 days late. Keep your older accounts. Lenders like to see history not new accounts. Try not to have more than 2 major credit cards and a gas or department store card. You really don't need anymore. Pay your car payment on time if you have one. We have seen credit ranging from 400 to 820.

How To Improve Your Credit Score
To improve your credit score you need to pay your bills on time and avoid collections. Try to keep your credit card balances at 50% of the high credit limit or below. Don't open a lot of new credit. Don't play the transfer credit card game. Credit history or the length of time accounts are open account for about 30% of your credit score. Watch your utility bill. If you have Wisconsin Energy they do report to the credit bureaus monthly so be aware of that and do not have it go 30 days late. If you are having trouble making any credit payments contact your creditors and work with them directly. If you are in the market to purchase a home, consolidate debt or refinance contact me at 414-416-9194 for a no obligation appointment.
